Accommodation

How to pay

Accommodation fees can be paid in full when you accept the contract.  Alternatively you can choose to pay by instlaments as per the payment schedule.

To pay your accommodation fees by instalments, simply choose your preferred payment method from the list below and read the instructions, which incorporate the University's terms and conditions.

Prepayment

For postgraduates living in university owned accommodation the prepayment of £400 goes towards your accommodation fee and is deducted from your Autumn rent instalment. It is not a deposit.

For students living in University Managed Housing the £400 is split between a deposit of £250 and a prepayment of £150.  The £150 is deducted from your Autumn rent instalment.

If a prospective postgraduate student cannot take their place (due to visa problems or failure to meet the conditions of the course offer), the prepayment will be refunded in full - provided we are notified 7 days prior to your contract start date. If we are notified after this date, the prepayment will not be refunded unless the room is re-let by your contract start date.

Credit/Debit Card in full - online >

If you wish to pay your accommodation fees by card by instalments, you can enter the details on the secure payment screen below:

https://isecure.bath.ac.uk/ebalancepayments

If you have chosen to pay by direct debit or already provided card details when accepting off-line, do not use this payment method.  This could result in the payment being taken twice.

This payment is real-time and processed immediately. Some card issuers set transaction or daily limits on cards as a security measure. If your payment is significantly larger than your normal transactions, you may wish to check with your card issuer about transaction limits on your account. The transaction currency is £GBP (Pounds Sterling).

The University does not accept American Express or Diners’ Cards.
