Admissions
This programme is open to engineers, architects and suitably qualified candidates from other related disciplines. At the discretion of the Board of Studies students may be admitted solely on the basis of extensive professional experience in a relevant field.
Admissions Information
You will be required to register for the online application system, after which you will receive a username and password to log-in to your application.
- Complete the online application form.
- If you supply contact details for your referee/s on the correct part of the application form (including email address) we will contact them automatically for a reference.
- Upload copies of your transcripts and certificates. If you have not completed your studies please provide copies of the transcripts you have to date.
- Upload copies of IELTS or TOEFL results (for non-native speakers of English)
Your application will not be considered until we have received an academic reference and copies of your transcripts.
Application deadline
For International students the application deadline is 30 June 2012
For Home/EU students the application deadline is 31 August 2012
Please note: Applications are processed as quickly as possible. We do experience peak times for admissions, so apply early.
You will need to produce the originals of all documents at registration (transcripts/degree certificates/IELTS or TOEFL results).
English Language Requirements
For all candidates whose first language is not English (including those whose medium of instruction in an overseas university has been in English), we require evidence of an appropriate level of proficiency in English. We look for either IELTS or TOEFL as below:
- IELTS: a score of at least 7.0 overall with no less than 6.5 in all four parts (Listening, Reading, Speaking, Writing). The IELTS test is administered by the British Council and is the preferred test; or
- TOEFL: either the paper-based test with a score of at least 600, or the Computer-based test with a score of at least 250.
