An international workshop, Biomaterials & Binders for Construction, was held at Technische Universität Darmstadt, Germany on 21-22 November 2011. The event was co-organised by the British Consulate-General in Germany, the BRE Centre for Innovative Construction Materials, and Technische Universität Darmstadt. 11th International Conference on Non-Conventional Materials and Technologies

International Conference on Structural Analysis of Historical Construction
The SAHC'08 6th International Conference on Structural Analysis of Historical Construction was held in Bath from July 2-4, 2008.International Symposium on Earthen Structures (ISES-2007)
The International Symposium on Earthen Structures was held by the Centre for Sustainable Technologies (Formerly ASTRA) at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India between 22nd and 24th August 2007. Prof. Pete Walker and Dr Andrew Heath co-organised the symposium together with Associate Professor Venkatarama Reddy (IISc) and Dr Jean Claude Morel (ENTPE, Lyon, France).
The symposium was planned to bring together practicing professionals, manufacturers, designers and researchers engaged in the theory and practice of building with unfired clay. Over 150 delegates from 13 countries participated in the conference, presenting 55 papers over three days. Presentations included papers on strengthening of adobe buildings in Peru to improve their earthquake resistance, an overview of the work by Prof. Gernot Minke from Kassel University, Germany, and environmental testing of buildings in Australia. ACIC 07 - The Third International Conference on Advanced Composites in Construction
The Third International Conference on Advanced Composites in Construction (ACIC 07) was held at the University of Bath between 2nd and 4th April 2007. A wide spectrum of topics were covered, contributed by authors worldwide, representing the current state-of-the-art and indicating new possible directions and applications for using these advanced composite materials. Sessions included: Polymeric structures, case studies, , FRP confinement of concrete, FRP for flexural enhancement of concrete, shear strengthening of concrete, FRP strengthening of metallic structures, analysis and modelling, composites in timber and natural materials, masonry and arches, composites guidelines and design. Traditional Timber Carpentry Construction
The Department of Architecture & Civil Engineering at the University of Bath, in association with the Carpenters Fellowship, hosted a one-day seminar on traditional timber carpentry construction on 7th September 2006.
