    Completed Projects

CASA was founded in 1992 and early projects included the construction of a computer model of Bath, funded by J. Sainsbury plc, and computer models of the buildings of Leon Battista Alberti for an international exhibition held in Mantua in 1994. Following from these successes, members of CASA have taken on a selection of significant projects in terms of prestige and research quality.

At inception the group comprised Alan Day, Vaughan Hart and Robert Tavernor. Mark Wilson Jones joined in 2000, and Michael Forsyth in 2001. Tavernor left in early 2005 to take up a chair at the London School of Economics, while Paul Richens joined in August 2005 as Professor in Architectural Computing. The appointment of Harry Charrington in 2010 helped broaden CASA’s research into twentieth century modernism and urbanism. The current Director is Vaughan Hart.
