The 2013 Council of the Institution of Structural Engineers includes eight elected members who have profound links to the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering. The eight include Professor Tim Ibell (Vice President, and Head of Department), Dr Antony Darby (Chairman of the Western Counties Regional Group, and Reader), Michael Dickson (Past President, and Visiting Professor), and five alumni of the Department (Kate Leighton, Mindy Lai, Ria Martin, Rob Paul and Mark Renshaw).
