Bath is top for Architecture in the UK
We are delighted to announce that our undergraduate degree in Architecture at the University has
once again been ranked top in the UK by the Sunday Times University Guide.
The University of Bath has seen great success overall in the table, being ranked as the third
best university in the UK.
This is the University’s highest ever ranking in the guide and means that only Oxford and
Cambridge now sit above it in the table of 126 UK universities and colleges.
The Sunday Times ranks subjects at Higher Education institutions across the UK on a number of
criteria, including student satisfaction, research quality, academic peer review, entrance
qualification held by new students, degree results achieved, drop-out rates and graduate employment
levels.
Professor Tim Ibell, Head of the Department of Architecture & Civil Engineering, said: “
We aim to offer our students high quality teaching, excellent support and a strong community.
Achieving the top ranking in the UK demonstrates that we’re getting this mix right, and for that I
am grateful to all of the staff in the Department and Faculty who work hard to ensure a student’s
experience at Bath is no less than outstanding.”
This result follows a 100% rating for overall student satisfaction for all our undergraduate
degree programmes in Architecture & Civil Engineering in the 2012 National Student Survey.
