ACE lecturer honoured with IOM3 outstanding service award
Dr Richard Ball, Lecturer in the
Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering, has received an
Institute of Materials, Minerals and
Mining (IOM3) outstanding service award in recognition of his work for the
West of England Metals and Materials
Association (WEMMA).
Richard has been secretary of the WEMMA for the last 11 years.
The WEMMA is affiliated to the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3), a major UK engineering institution whose activities encompass the whole materials cycle, from exploration and extraction, through characterisation, processing, forming, finishing and application, to product recycling and land reuse.
Richard said “I am delighted to receive this award and want to thank the IOM3 for this recognition.”
The certificate was presented to Richard by current WEMMA Chairman Laurence Wilshere earlier this month in a ceremony at the University.
