ACE degrees take first and second place
Architecture remains named as the best in the country, whilst our Civil Engineering degree now stands second only to Cambridge in the Complete University Guide 2014 .
This represents a significant leap of five places for Civil Engineering, rising to match its second place position in the Guardian University Guide 2013. The graduate prospect rates being equal to that of the Cambridge degree are a clear contributing factor, as well as the high level of student satisfaction within the Department.
Our unique joint Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering continues to strengthen its national reputation as one of the best places to study both architecture and civil engineering in the U.K.
Professor Tim Ibell, Head of the Department said: “This is another stunning result for the Department. Our Architecture programmes continue to be rated the best in the country, and our Civil Engineering programmes continue their annual rise up the league tables, to now be behind only Cambridge. These results are the harvest of many years of effort, dedication and inspiration by all colleagues in the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering and in the Faculty teams. Wonderful news, and well deserved."
The University of Bath,
overall, has also moved up a place to ninth, maintaining our top ten position out of 124
universities across the UK.
