Daniel Jang Wong is a practitioner based in Bath, establishing degrees51N Ltd in 2005. His practice is predominantly involved in housing, and the cultural / educational sectors. Prior to this, he spent 10 years at Arup Associates in London, where as a Practice Principal, was involved in a wide range of projects recognised as being of merit by the RIBA, the Civic Trust, BCO, and CIBSE.
Before moving to London, he practised for 15 years in both Sydney + Darwin, Australia, having graduated at the University of NSW in 1980 with First Class Honours + the University Medal.
Daniel is concerned with how place-making can facilitate social interaction and well-being, with emphasis on the need to create lasting and responsible environments.
He started as a Studio Tutor at the University of Bath in 2007, and became a Teaching Fellow in 2009. Daniel now teaches in 1st, 3rd and 4th Years. He is also the department’s co-ordinator of mentoring for 1st Year students.
