Programme details
The programme is offered as a modular programme comprising 13 units.
The following options are available for study:
• MSc
• Postgraduate Diploma (PG Dip)
• Continuing Professional Development (CPD) units relevant to your training needs
The MSc programme comprises seven core units, three option units (from a choice of six) and a dissertation. The PG Dip covers the same taught elements as the MSc course, but does not require a dissertation to be submitted.
The programme may be studied full-time over a period of 12 months for the MSc or nine months for the Diploma. A maximum period of 48 months is allowed for completion of the MSc or PG Dip for part-time students. Each unit comprises preparatory work, four consecutive days' attendance at the University of Bath and /or follow up work afterwards, amounting to 100 hours of study. Students will be assessed during the unit or by work submitted immediately after each unit.
CPD units are suitable if you have identified a specific area of environmental design in which you would like to increase your knowledge and skills. The CPD units may also provide the opportunity to transfer to the MSc/PG Dip at a later stage. The assessment is considered to be an integral part of the unit and a certificate will be issued for each successful CPD unit. Certificates will not be issued for attendance only.
