Department talks and tours
During Open Days we hold separate talks for Architecture and for Civil Engineering. You will need to book to attend. Talks last around 40 minutes.
What do talks cover?
- Introduction to the department and subject
- Programme content
- Student projects
- Career prospects
- Admissions information
If the talks or tours are fully booked, contact us. We will do everything we can to fit you in.
Even if you are unable to attend a talk, you will find there is a great deal to do in the Department, including the opportunity to talk about your own goals with the speakers.
The Department will be open for informal visits throughout the day from 10am to 4pm. You will be able to see design studios, laboratories and lecture theatres and meet staff and students. We will have slide shows and videos to help you to understand what we do and what sort of careers our graduates go on to.
Our building is 6 East, which is the first building you come to on the main University complex as you walk from the sports training village.
We also have a stand at the information fair where you can:
- Meet academics
- Learn about placements
