Enhancing student experience

Showing your support for extracurricular activities can shape the best years of someone’s life. Here's how:

Bath 1st for student satisfaction

Our students are the most satisfied in the UK, according to the National Student Survey 2013.

Student enterprise

We’re proud that Bath alumni help our students develop entrepreneurial skills. As well as funding a student-run Entrepreneurs Society and Dragons' Den, alumni act as mentors for new business ideas. These activities provide excellent hands-on business training and have produced successful ventures.

Sports and societies

We encourage creative, active student life. Using our world-class Sports Training Village, nurturing musical talent and volunteering for charity encourage confidence, expression and teamwork – all qualities that make our graduates stand out to employers.

Most clubs and societies are run by our Students' Union, which is ranked in the UK’s top three by the National Union of Students (NUS).

Work placements

More than 60 per cent of Bath students undertake a work placement during their course, allowing valuable insight and practical experience in their chosen field. Placements improve employability, giving our students an excellent head start in the world of work. We welcome opportunities to create new placements in companies at the UK or further afield.
