E-news for alumni and friends
April 2013

Although we haven't seen many signs of spring on campus yet, it's certainly been a busy few months here at the University.

Just a few weeks ago it was officially confirmed by the University Court that His Royal Highness the Earl of Wessex will become the next Chancellor of the University. He will begin the role in August, following the retirement of Lord Tugendhat, and will be officially installed in November.

We're delighted that Bath has continued to go from strength to strength, even in these challenging times for higher education. Our applications have been on the rise, bucking the national trend, and our research continues to have an impact both in the UK and around the world. You can read more about this below.

All alumni are warmly invited to join us for this year's AGM of Convocation, which will be held on campus as part of the Alumni Reunion weekend on 11 May. Do also keep an eye out for other events in the UK and around the world; invitations are sent by email and upcoming events are listed on our website.

If you have any questions or suggestions about the alumni programme, please drop us a line at alumni@bath.ac.uk. We always welcome your feedback and ideas!

Best wishes,

Molly, Rachel, Julie, Jo, Rosie and Paola
