Thanks a million!

One of the University's earliest graduates, Roger Whorrod (BSc Electrical Engineering 1965, MSc Electrical Engineering 1970) and his wife Sue have donated a gift worth £1 million to the University to help fund research into sustainable technologies.

Where is the buzz?

University researchers are working on a £1 million project to reduce the impact of disease on honeybees and help bring the population back from the brink.

House of Lords event is sell-out success

Around 250 alumni and guests attended an exclusive reception at the House of Lords on 25 June, hosted by our Chancellor, Lord Tugendhat. Tickets for the event sold out in two days. See photos on our flickr gallery.

MBA Master Class
22 July 2010, 4.45-7.30pm

The MBA Master Classes provide an opportunity to take part in a timely and thought-provoking lecture and allow you to find out more about the Bath MBA. This time Professor Yiannis Gabriel, Deputy Dean of the School of Management, will speak on Storytelling in Organisations: the skills of tellers, listeners and researchers. Alumni Golf Day
8 October 2010

Following the success of last year's event, alumni and guests are invited to join us for 18 holes at the Bath Golf Course. Starting with bacon rolls at the Clubhouse and ending with lunch, with prizes to be won! Places are limited so book now.

Alumni Reception - Wellcome Collection

The Wellcome Collection in London is a must-see for anyone interested in medicine and its role in society. Following a drinks reception, alumni will get a chance to tour the fascinating exhibitions. Last year's winter reception sold out so please book now to avoid disappointment.

International update

Tokyo Chapter hosts Nomikai

Alumni gathered in Tokyo on 22 May for their customary nomikai or drinking party. All had a good time, sharing memories of Bath and enjoying the food. Chapter leaders welcome all alumni living in or near Tokyo to join them at future events. If you are interested, please email them directly.

Greek Chapter celebrates first anniversary

Congratulations to our Greek Chapter who recently celebrated one year of independent chapter activities with a large summer party at a nightclub in Athens. Plans for developing the Chapter are underway and Greek alumni look forward to more opportunities to network with Bath graduates.
