Bath ranked 9th in UK and best in South West

The University of Bath has been ranked 9th out of 121 universities and colleges in the latest UK league table published by the Sunday Times. Read the full story.

GB Paralympians arrive on campus

The GB Paralympic Team is based at the University of Bath in the run-up to the 2012 Games. 160 athletes gathered for their first five-day training camp at the Sports Training Village over the summer. Watch their preparations on campus in a special Channel 4 report.

Alumni launch sewage-powered car

Ingram Legge and Noel Lock (both MBA 2001) have launched the UK’s first sewage-powered car. The Volkswagen Beetle ‘Bio-Bug’ has been converted to run on biogas, which is methane generated during the sewage treatment process. Find out more.

Rockett speed alumnus smashes cycling record

Ben Rockett (BA Coach Education & Sports Development 2008) has set a new world record for cycling from one end of the UK to the other and back. Ben completed his epic journey in five days, 21 hours and eight minutes, beating the previous record by some 23 hours. Find out how he did it.

Alumni Golf Day

Following the success of last year's event, alumni and guests are invited to join us for 18 holes at the Bath Golf Course. Starting with bacon rolls at the Clubhouse and ending with lunch, with prizes to be won! There are a few places still available so book now.

Alumni who graduated in the last 10 years are invited to join friends at The Wall, 45 Old Broad Street, London for our autumn AlumNite, hosted by several former Sabbatical Officers. Everyone who registers by 19 October will receive a free drink. The event starts at 6pm - you must arrive at the bar by 8pm to claim your free drink. Register now.

International Graduate Contact Scheme to launch in Seoul

University staff are hosting an alumni event for alumni on 28 September at the British Council in Seoul, to launch the International Graduate Contact Scheme in South Korea. The Scheme puts students and new graduates in touch with alumni to share up-to-date information on their professional experiences.

Alumni launch Taiwan Chapter with trip down memory lane

More than 40 alumni celebrated the launch of the Taiwan Chapter at the British Council in Taipei. With the theme “My creative dishes in Bath” our alumni swapped memories of food from student days and shared experiences of life since graduating.

Facilities include a fitness suite, Olympic-sized swimming pool, classes, tennis and sauna. Bath alumni pay no joining fee (normally £25), save 20 per cent on subscriptions and receive a free towel and water bottle.
