Twitter has recently identified and fixed a bug that may have affected the security of its users’ passwords and as a result, Digital and Computing Services strongly recommend that, if you are the admin of a University-owned Twitter account, you change the password as soon as possible. There are a few steps you can take to keep your account safe.
Change your password on Twitter and on any other service where you may have used the same password.
Use a strong password that you don’t reuse on other websites.
If possible, enable login verification, also known as two-factor authentication. This is the single best action you can take to increase your account security.
