Sponsored by Self Access Language Centre (SALC), as part of a University-wide language learning initiative, The Road Home is one of an extensive film collection in excess of 3,600 films. Find this collection on the entrance floor of the Library and loan any film overnight free of charge.

Leading on the organisation of this event, Daisy Zhu, Chinese Teaching Fellow from the Foreign Languages Centre, said:

“Chinese is the most widely spoken first language in the world and Chinese culture is one of the world’s oldest and richest continuous cultures over 5000 years. I am delighted to be working with colleagues from across the University and the Students’ Union to create new language learning opportunities such as this one for students and staff. This is a wonderful chance to learn more about the Chinese language and culture, including awareness of social, political and cultural issues in contemporary China through the medium of film.”
