Writing Centre tutorial sessionThe Writing Centre is launching new drop-in times to offer further support during students’ lunch time periods.

Drop-in sessions provide students and staff with the opportunity to talk to a member of our team of writing tutors about any aspect of writing, without needing to book in advance.

From Monday 20 March drop-in sessions in the Writing Centre (3W2.1) will be available during the following times:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 11.15am – 2.05pm
Wednesday 10.15am – 1.05pm

One-to-one tutorials offer students and staff a longer appointment to discuss a specific piece of work. For campus tutorials, you and your students can book a time using the campus online booking system.

From Monday 20 March, tutorials will also be delivered in the Virgil Building 2.33 in the city centre, offering greater flexibility for students and staff. Tutorials in VB 2.33 are available to book through the Virgil online booking system.

You may also want to signpost your students to our weekly Write Bites workshops covering different aspects of academic writing. These run on Wednesdays from 1.15pm - 2.05pm in the Writing Centre (3 West 2.1 on the Parade). The next Write Bites workshop on Wednesday 15 March will focus on forming fluent and effective paragraphs. No booking is needed –please encourage your students to bring their lunch and drop by.
