Step up to the challenge and win a hamper in this year’s Fairtrade ‘Take a
Step’ campaign.
Fairtrade Fortnight begins Monday 27 February to Friday 11 March 2012. Fairtrade is asking you to switch to Fairtrade and register your ‘Step’ on the interactive ‘ Step-o-Meter’ at www.fairtrade.org.uk/step
Visit the People & Planet Society Fairtrade stand in the Students’ Centre from Monday 27 February to Friday 2 March between 12- 2pm. Here you can register your steps and be entered into a prize draw to win a hamper full of Fairtrade goodies.
A step could be anything from buying your first packet of Fairtrade coffee, tea or sugar or by choosing to buy a Fairtrade coffee on the way to work. By adding Fairtrade products to your weekly shopping, or encouraging our friends and family to switch to Fairtrade we are taking a step in the right direction.
Fairtrade products are available from Fresh shops and Bars-Eateries on campus.
Together, the Fairtrade Foundation wants the public to take 1.5 million steps for Fairtrade in
2012. That’s one for every Fairtrade producer Fairtrade aims to work with around the world.
Each step leads to a better deal that millions of farmers and workers in developing countries
urgently need.
