For Staff: Commercialisation Process
Overview
The University of Bath actively protects its Intellectual Property (IP) and commercialises the results of research where appropriate and where the financial benefit outweighs the costs involved. Net financial benefit is shared between the academic, the department and the University according to our IP Policy procedures.
Commercialising IP via Consultancy, Licensing or a New Business Creation can be a rewarding way to develop new ideas and innovation to the benefit of society and the economy while at the same time benefiting academic endeavours and the University.
If you have any questions about Commercialising IP, accessing the IP of the University of Bath or want to discuss your ideas, please see our Contacts for the most appropriate person to manage your enquiry.
