About us
The Evaluation Centre at BIME has been involved in evaluation work for the Department of Health for over 30 years, and has developed international reputation for its thorough, objective and independent evaluations of medical equipment, primarily of infusion devices. The Centre was formerly funded by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), and then by the Centre for Evidence-based Purchasing (CEP), NHS Purchasing and Supply Agency (PASA).
Due to recent changes with the Department of Health funding of evaluation work at present we are not able to maintain the Evaluation Centre for independent evaluations of medical equipment. We are maintaining the Centre archive and the laboratory facilities.
For any enquiries please contact BIME Director Dr Nigel Harris.
