STONE KING FUNDRAISING FOR BIME
Staff from law firm Stone King are taking part in a number of events this year to raise money for BIME.
Paris to Geneva Bike Ride
Simon Walker and Myles Taaffe bravely agreed to cycle from Paris to Geneva in aid of BIME and another charity. They set off from the Paris on 10th September over some of the toughest mountain terrain in Europe. Following the Seine from the centre of Paris, heading south they followed a series of hill climbs through the quiet roads of Burgundy. The roads became hillier as they climbed through the foothills of the Alps and over the Col de la Faucille to Switzerland, before the final descent to Geneva lakeside.You can still sponsor them by clicking here: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/stoneking
Three Peaks 24hr Challenge
Laura Ingram, John Brownrigg, Alison Allen, Gemma Peacock, Amy Gordon and Sally McFadden took on the Three Peaks 24hr Challenge! They set off on 15 September from Fort William to climb Ben Nevis, then drove to the Lake District to tackle Scafell Pike overnight and finally on to North Wales to bag Snowdon. They climbed nearly 10,000ft of mountainous terrain (and back down again), walking over 26 miles, and travelling between three countries, all within 24 hours.

BIME is one of two charities Stone King is supporting this year – the teams have already covered their costs so all donations will be equally split between Stone King's nominated charities for 2012, BIME and Shooting Star Chase.

STONE KING: MEN'S HEALTH CHALLENGE FUNDRAISER 17-11-2012
|
||
Luke Exton, Tom Johnson, Jon Moore, Tony Pidgeon, Darren Hooker, Lee Davis and Matt Watson took part in the Men's Health Survival of the Fittest on 17 November 2012. 10km of mud, ice, tyres, scaffolding, beer-barrels, sandbags, ducks, dives, slides, skips, steeplechases and a water canon (courtesy of the fire brigade). All completed the event in good time (most in under an hour!) and bar a few scrapes and bruises, all came back relatively unscathed. You can rest assured, however, it's called Survival of the Fittest for a reason and the mighty Men's Health Wall of Fame (10ft wall), certainly lived up to its name.
