MRes - Master of Research

We offer seven different 12 month MRes programmes:

Students who complete a MRes degree will be well qualified to proceed to a three-year PhD programme and they should have a competitive edge in relation to undergraduate students applying for doctoral studies. Many students continue on as PhD students - our top EU and Overseas MRes graduates have often been successful in securing funding to continue their PhD studies here at Bath or elsewhere.

MRes programmes can also be studied as the first year of our Integrated PhD programme.
