Angiotherapy & gene therapy

The resource below is a series of Powerpoint slides (and a list of further reading) on the rationale behind the design of drugs targetting proteins involved in the growth and spread of transformed cancer cells. It outlines the rationale behind anti-angiogenic therapy (with information on drugs currently available or undergoing clinical trials). It also gives a critical overview of the design of vectors used in delivery of therapeutic molecules to the target (ex-vivo and in-vivo strategies) and some examples of these.
