Research
Bath is one of the leading research intensive Biosciences departments in the UK. It is renowned for its broad range of world-leading and internationally excellent research on animals, plants and microorganisms that fall into the theme areas below, including cell and developmental biology, structural and molecular biology, as well as evolutionary biology and biodiversity.
The outstanding quality of the research is reflected in the level of external funding from the UK Research Councils, medical charities, European Union and Industry as well as publications in the top international journals (Nature, Science, PNAS and PLoS Biology).
