Thunderbird signatures with images
Please note: using HTML and images in your emails will significantly increase the size of the email you send through and your signature will not display correctly if your recipients client cannot render HTML
In Thunderbird the way to create a signature that includes an images is by attaching a html file as the signature.
Below is an example of doing this using the University logo.

- To achieve the above cut and paste the below HTML into notepad:
<a href="http://www.bath.ac.uk" title="bath.ac.uk">
<img src="http://www.bath.ac.uk/homepage/images/logos/logo.gif" alt="University of Bath" style="float: left; border: none;" />
</a>
<div style="margin-left: 189px; padding-left: 12px; border-left: solid 2px #CCC;">
<span style="display: block; font-size:14px; color: #404040; margin-bottom: 6px;">Your Name, Job title </span>
<strong><a href="http://www.bath.ac.uk" title="bath.ac.uk" style="color: #999999; text-decoration: none; border-bottom: 1px #999999 dotted;">University of Bath</a></strong><br />
Building, Bath BA2 7AY, United Kingdom | Telephone: +44 (0)1225 38xxxx | Email: xxxxxx@bath.ac.uk</div>
