iPad and iPhone signature
iPads and iPhones use the same default signature "Sent from my iPad".
- To change this tap on Settings and then Mail, Contacts Calendars.
- Tap on Signature and type your own signature.
- To add formatting, or have the option of more than one signature you will need to use a work around or buy an app.
Keyboard shortcuts for more than one signature
One work around, which allows you to have line spacing and more than one signature is to create a series of keyboard shortcuts: one keyboard shortcut for each line of your signature.
1. Tap on Settings, General, Keyboard.

2. Create a shortcut for each line of your signature

When you write your email, you can use the shortcuts depending on which lines you need.
Top tips include:
- Do not use a string of 2 or 3 letters that will lead to your signature line appearing when you type normally eg fro - every time you try and type 'from' or any word begining 'fro...' the line from your signature will appear. Shortcuts work in the same way as auto correct in Word.
- Do no use a mixture numbers eg mv1, mv2 as you will need to change the keyboard setting betwen numbers and alphabet which will slow you down.
