Request help
When you request help, whether in person, by telephone (our phone number is 3535 - 01225 383535 outside the University) or by using the online form, your enquiry will be logged and put in a queue. You will automatically be sent an email containing a reference number once you have completed the online form.
You can track the progress of your submitted enquiry by logging in using your University of Bath username and password.
Reporting a problem
To effectively solve problems or faults, please make sure to take the following steps:
- Before reporting any problems (especially if you are unable to access the internet or email) check the frequently asked questions.
- State what you saw and include the exact text of any error messages reported.
- If you have several requests at the same time, please submit each separately.
- Include the the versions of operating system (e.g. Windows XP) and application software (e.g. Office 2003, Mulberry 3.1) you are using.
- To find the version of your operating system follow the instructions given on the Sophos website (external link)
- In many cases the version of the software application can usually be obtained by clicking 'Help -> About' in the application's menu.
- When reporting an issue with email, please include:
- exact times and dates
- the full header of the appropriate email.
