Support and maintenance of MIS databases and application management
- Support and Maintenance of MIS Databases and Application Management
This includes Management of Hardware and Software for the MIS environment, Operating system maintenance for MIS servers, Management of the MIS Storage Area Network, Management of the Oracle installations for MIS and some other University internal customers, and support of external and internal MIS applications running against those databases or in those environments.
Lawson Support
- Maintenance of the three Lawson databases - production, development and training.
- Maintenance of the servers and storage on which these are run, and also manage the application and environment, applying patches where required, and setting up links with other University computing systems, including database links for sharing information across systems.
- The set up of Lawson printing queues, which cannot use the standard print interface from Windows.
Trent Support
- Maintenance, upgrades, refreshes and patching of the five Trent databases and associated applications instances
- Maintenance of the servers and storage on which these are run, and also management of the application and environment
- Maintenance of the reporting Trent database (used for Business Objects reports)
- Management of the Oracle environment around these databases, such as links with other systems
- Patch status spreadsheet (restricted access)
Agresso Support
- Maintenance of the Agresso databases and support of the environment where this falls in the unix or Business server area
- Management of the Oracle environment around these databases such as links with other systems
SAMIS Support
- Maintenance, upgrades, refreshes and patching of the three SITS databases and associated applications instances
- Maintenance of the servers and storage on which these are run, and also management of the applications and environment
- Management of the Oracle environment around these databases such as links with other systems
