Where to get help with ResNet
If you have any problems with either connecting to the internet via ResNet or with setting up your computer according to the instructions, you should make sure to read the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) first. If the problems persist then your first point of contact will be the Service Desk.
Contact the Service Desk by:
- by phone ext. 3535 (or 01225 383535 outside the University)
- filling in an online form
- going to the Library Level 2 where the Help Desk office is located
In all instances make sure to include as much information as possible.
- your name and telephone number
- what machine you where using and where (eg BUCS PC, your own networked PC etc)
- what application you were using
- the error message displayed on the screen (if any)
- state the type of operating system (OS) your computer is running
- a description of the actual problem
- have a list of things you have tried in order to solve the problem
