Monday, 14 May 2012 - resolution of X Drive problems but for two exceptions
The areas of the filestore that were affected by the file server issues on Friday are now available for normal use again, with the exception of:
- The Auto group in Mechanical Engineering
- The Spectroscopy Archive in Chemistry
The 2 areas outlined above, will remain in read only mode until we have completed moving their content to the new area of the filestore, which we hope to complete as soon as possible. We will publish further updates when this exercise has been completed.
Computing Services (BUCS) has, over the weekend moved the other data from the file server known as Crane, to a newer and more resilient storage system which will reduce the likelihood of similar downtime in future.
