Network disruption, Tues 11 Sep, before 9am
Please expect some network disruption to IT services during the 'at risk' period, 7am to 9am, Tuesday 11 September 2012.
Essential core network maintenance is taking place and many IT services which we provide will be affected as a result. Disruption will depend on what service is being used. For example, a person may find they cannot save their file to the network or may be unable to send an email during a 10 minute period.
Networked services include the following:
- Internet
- File storage
- Active Directory Computers
- Computer Docking
- Wireless Connections
- VOIP Telephones
- Printing
- HPC
- LCPU
- Agresso
The above list does not include all services that can be affected by work on the network. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted use of all your IT applications while this work takes place.
We recommend that you regularly save your work and do not start an IT related activity which will require uninterrupted connection to the network during the 'at risk' period (eg. raising an agresso invoice, running an HPC job).
