Change to look of applications on Sunrays
If you use a Sun Ray terminal in the Library, Sports Training Village or around campus you will see small changes to the look of the application if you select one of these options:
- Web Browser
- Webmail
- Library Catalogue
These applications currently use Firefox version 3 to run. We are updating to Firefox version 15 during the 'at risk'* period, Tuesday 16 October 2012. This work is being undertaken to ensure future resilience and security as Firefox will not be fully supporting version 3 in the future.
There will be no downtime to the Sun Ray service. People using it will only be aware that the work has taken place by the changes in the look of the browser.

*What does 'at risk' mean? The 'at risk' period is the time between 7am and 9am on Tuesdays when we cannot guarantee the availability of our computing services due to scheduled maintenance, modifications or testing that is essential to the continued service that we provide.
