Training feedback

"A nice clean well equipt room and brilliant that tea and coffee was provided! "

"Trainer really helpful. Provided excellent explanations, and judged my knowledge level perfectly "

"I like the self paced option, you aren't waiting around for others to finish but have the benefit of having a trainer in the rooom should you need to ask questions "

"The booking facility was exceptionally easy - a great deal of work appears to have been done to make this slick"

Please note that these IT training courses are for University of Bath staff and are not available to members of the general public or external organisations.

All Postgraduate sessions are able to attend our general IT Training programme such as MS Office (for a small fee), however some courses such as Business Objects and Agresso are specific to University Staff and as such are not open to postgraduate students - there are some exceptions to this, for example if you are also employed by the University in such cases you should ask your line manager to book a place for you.

If you have never used a computer before or have very little confidence or experience with computers then this is the course for you.

During a series of two and a half hour sessions run once a week we will introduce you to basic computing concepts in a fun and friendly environment. Starting from switching on and using the mouse and keyboard, we will go on to show you how to create and print letters and other word-processed documents, use the internet, send e-mail and organise files.

Each week there will also be time to practice and improve your typing skills.

There will also be plenty of opportunity to practice and discuss skills you learn during these sessions, and we can give you advice about which courses may be of benefit to you if you wish to extend these skills after your last session.

You will need to attend all course dates
