Please note that these IT training courses are for University of Bath staff and are not available to members of the general public or external organisations. Postgraduate students from the University of Bath can attend our sessions for a fee of £5.00 per one and a half hour session.
Introduction to Thunderbird - Recommended For Use on Campus PCs
Course Level: Level 1
Pre-Requisites: The course assumes you have a working knowledge of another email client and so are familiar with terms such as mailbox, forward, reply and junk mail.
Mode of Delivery: Tutor - Led Workshop
Course Description: After completing this course you will be able to:
- Launch and log in to Thunderbird and your University of Bath email account.
- Describe and use Thunderbird’s interface
- Read, compose, send, forward and reply to emails
- Make common configuration changes to Thunderbird
- Create and add an email signature
- Work with file attachments
- Create and manage folders within your mailbox
- Work with address books and personal mailing lists

Outlook 2010
Unfortunately due to the active directory setup of Outlook we are unable to run formal training in its use, however we have a course and manual available to download through Moodle which can be completed on a PC running the Outlook 2010 programme.
