Links
There are 4 types of links that you are likely to need in a wiki page:
- Links to pages or files within your own space
- Links to pages in another wiki space
- Links to web pages outside the wiki
- Email links

In the Alias input box:

Type your BUCS user name.

Type the website address.

Type the text you want the user to click on.

To make a link to a website that is not part of the University wiki:

Click the Search tab.

Click the External link tab.
| |
|
Click the Attachments tab.

To create an email link:
|
Precede the email address with mailto:

Type the email address into the Wiki Markup tab. | |

Precede the email address with square brackets.

Throughout this exercise, keep your wiki space in a separate window that is open in your browser. (This will enable you to keep this tutorial open in the other window at the same time.)
If you have not already done so, go to this web address https://wiki.bath.ac.uk/dashboard.action
Log in to the wiki.
- Open your Home page in your Personal Space.
- Click the Edit button to edit the page.
- Click the Insert/Edit Link button.
- Search for the Home page of the Sandbox space and make a link to this.
- Make an External Link to the home page of the BBC http://www.bbc.co.uk
- Create a link to your own email address.
- Save the page when you have created all the links.
- Test that the links are working.
Use the menu on the left to navigate your way to the next page.
