Macros in Word 2003

  • A macro is a series of instructions which run a “mini program”, or sub routine, of the main Word program, in order to perform a series of tasks automatically.
  • Macros are created using the Macro Recorder.
  • Behind the scenes, the macro is written in the Visual Basic programming language, but it is not necessary to know this to record a macro which is generated automatically as you record each task.
