Convert betweeen text & table
- If formatting a long list of items in Word, for example, a list of staff telephone numbers, you might consider placing the information into a table.
- Sometimes this is neater than trying to separate the columns of information with commas or tabs.
- You might also consider a tabular layout for minutes which are numbered and have a separate column for actions arising from the meeting.
- If you start off with your information formatted as text you can change your mind and convert this to a table.
- Alternatively, if you start off with a table, you can also convert a table back into ordinary text.
