Business Objects
Introduction
The Business Ojects suite is used by the Universtity to report on data held in SAMIS. There are currently three main areas Admissions (MAS), MIS (SRS) and Finance (FIN). Users may have access to some or all of these areas depending on their role.
Version
We currently support Business Objects Xi Release 3 client. (BOXi) Product support for Business Objects 5.1 ended 31 July 2013.
Getting Started
There is a startup guide for new and experienced users alike, this details how to set up the client for use.

Changing the Default Program
The 2013 upgrade to BOXI has meant that some users' PCs may still be set to use the original Business Ojects 5.1 as the default program to open report files ".rep". To solve this problem please use instructions included in our Business Objects Change the default program guide together with the registry file.
You will need to restart your computer once you have followed the instructions and installed the registry file to complete the fix.
