Advanced Warning for students returning next semester 2010/11
We are discontinuing some services on the Public Access Computers (PACS). This warning is to help prepare you for the changes being implemented.
What is changing
- Mulberry Email client is being removed
- Reference Manager is being removed
- Exceed (UNIX Applications) is being replaced
Mulberry
Alternatives: Thunderbird, Webmail
How this will affect you: If you have a Mulberry personal address and wish to use Thunderbird you will have to manually copy over the addresses.
Reference Manager
Alternative: EndNote
How this will affect you: If you have used Reference Manager you will already have recieved an email with instructions on how to convert you databases. These instructions can be found here.
Exceed (UNIX Applications)
Alternatives: SunRay Desktop Access Client, Xming
How this will affect you: Access to our central compute servers can be be done using the shortcut 'All Programs | UNIX Applications' or 'All Programs | Xming | LCPU'
