Installing Oracle Calendar on your Palm Pilot
If you have a Palm PDA that you would like to synchronise with Oracle Calendar at the University, these instructions will explain how to achieve this. In order to complete the set up process you need to have the Palm Desktop software installed.
- The CD for this is bundled with your Palm when you buy it. You will need your Palm next to you as you install the software because it may ask for your serial number
- If you are installing this software onto your own PC that you have admin rights on, skip to the next section. If you are on an Active Directory PC, you must install this software as follows:
- Add the user account of the user who is using the Palm to the Administrators group on the local PC
- Log in as that user and install the software as that USER (installing from another account does not allow the software to work)
- Once installed, take the user out of the Administrators group and log off

- Password: The usual BUCS password
- Server: calendar.bath.ac.uk
