Experience life as a psychology student

During our work experience week, you’ll be able to learn what it is like to study some of our courses and you will have the opportunity to shadow various job roles. You will also gain an insight into the world-class research undertaken in the Department of Psychology.

We are ranked 1st for Psychology in The Guardian University Guide 2018.

Availability for 2018

Our work experience programme runs from Monday 9 to Friday 13 July. It will be based in the Department of Psychology in 10 West.

You may also have the opportunity to join with other events taking place in the University. We expect to be able to offer places to four students.

Who we’re looking for

We are looking for students who have a genuine interest in studying psychology at university.

All year 10 and 12 students are welcome to apply. We encourage applications from diverse and inclusive backgrounds and would particularly welcome applications from male students in this under-represented area of psychology.

We are not able to offer accommodation or any programme of activities outside of working hours. We expect this programme to be of interest mainly to local school students.
