Be Well Week
19 - 23 March is Be Well Week. We're hosting lots of free events and activities on campus based around health and wellbeing. Join in and try something new.
Be Well Week celebrates health and wellbeing. It is important to have some balance over our health and this week is designed to help understand the different elements of health and give you the opportunity to sample some activities or explore areas in more detail. All events are linked to our Be Well framework so you can see which areas of health you already include, and those you may want to top up or explore.
Be Well is made up of 5 areas:
Walk, run, swim, cycle, explore new sports, try new activities and have fun. Do these frequently and creatively. Staying active doesn’t need to be a chore, even small changes and social activities can make a big difference.
Live in the moment and take notice of the things around you. Understand yourself through your experiences, respond well to situations, be calmer and perform better.
Sleep well, cook new and healthy recipes, enjoy the outdoors, get away from your screen and make healthy choices. This will help to make you feel ready and get the most out of your day.
Make time to connect with others around you to feel supported, encouraged, and part of a university, city, national and international community. Talk, listen and support friends, family, coursemates and neighbours and they will do the same for you.
Celebrate individuality. Reflect on who you are and who you want to be to become the best version of yourself.
