Events Coordinator

Looking for a rewarding career in events? The Accommodation and Hospitality department (ahs) is recruiting for an Events Coordinator.

This is a great opportunity to take the next step in your career and develop your skills within the events sector at a well-established organisation.

The sales and events team handles all the University’s commercial business, the majority of which takes place in the summer.

We’ll offer you plenty of development opportunities and training on a wide range of different systems.

It’s a varied role, where you’ll work across a broad range of events, meeting diverse clients from many different industries and sectors. One day you might be helping a nationwide charity arrange their annual walk, then spend the next day assisting summer schools during our busy commercial period.

You’ll have the opportunity to work with some high profile clients, arranging inspiring and cutting edge events that bring some of the best experts in their field to the University.

The right candidate will have customer facing experience and a high level of computer literacy.

The successful applicant will be required to:

  • Respond to customer enquiries with accurate sales information and availability
  • Update and maintain information sharing with other internal stakeholders
  • Upholding and improving the local systems of work and procedures
  • Communicate with clients to plan and host events to the highest possible standard
  • Completing post-event administrative duties, such as obtaining feedback and completing financial details
  • Maintain accreditation standards and good practice in line with University policies and procedures
