Present your work in the postgraduate research showcase

This is an opportunity for you to present your research as an eye-catching poster to staff and fellow research students and compete for prizes worth up to £150

We are pleased to invite you to take part in the Faculty's fourth annual Postgraduate Research Showcase!

This is an opportunity for HSS PhD students, both pre- and post-confirmation, and HSS Professional Doctorate students, to present their research in the form of an eye-catching poster. It is a fantastic opportunity for students to gain invaluable experience in presenting their research to both their peers and academics within the Faculty.

The showcase is an excellent opportunity to:

  • Focus and reflect on your project so far
  • Gain important feedback
  • Gain experience in presenting your research and in answering questions about justifying why your research is important
  • Discover more about the research being undertaken by your peers
  • Network with fellow postgraduate students, University staff and other notable figures in Humanities & Social Science research external to the University

Guidance and rules

All poster submissions will be printed in A0 size (at no cost to you) and displayed at the Humanities & Social Sciences postgraduate research showcase event on Wednesday 26th April 2017.

Full competition rules and entry guidance can be found in the competition rules.

Submit your entry via Moodle by 11.59pm on Thursday 20 April 2017

Judging and prizes

During the Showcase, students will have discussions about their research with the judges, as well as with academic staff and fellow students. The judging panel will identify the winners in each category and the prizes will be awarded during the Research Showcase Event.
