Find your username and email

Registering at the University gives you access to many IT services. You will need your username to log in to them. Your username is on your library card. It will be a combination of letters and numbers, for example abc123. Your email address will then be username@bath.ac.uk, for example abc123@bath.ac.uk.

You will have chosen a password on registration. If you have forgotten it you can reset your University password.

Connect to the Internet

eduroam is our free Wi-Fi service that students should use. You will be able to connect to eduroam Wi-Fi at universities across the UK and abroad. By now you may have already accessed it on your device. If not you should use our guide to connecting to Wi-Fi as a student or for any guests you have.

You can also connect your computer or games console to the wired internet network ('ResNet') via a network cable, which you can purchase from the IT shop.

You can also help protect yourself by reading our guide on avoiding phishing and email scams. We will never ask you for your password or personal information by email. To report suspicious emails in Outlook, forward them as an attachment to phish@office365.microsoft.com.
