Free yoga workshops in January. Take an hour away from revision to relax. Or try our weekly course, running throughout Semester Two.

What the workshops involve

Our yoga workshops offer space for you to come and unwind if you're stressed about your exams.

You will learn pragmatic breathing techniques to alleviate anxiety and calm your mind.

Dates and times

The workshops are on Monday 16 January 2017 and Tuesday 24 January 2017. Both run from 2.15pm to 3.15pm. Please note places are limited.

Yoga for relaxation course in Semester Two

Learn how to ease stress and calm your racing mind. This course will teach you relaxation techniques and breathing exercises, including:

  • focusing on healthy alignment
  • introduction to breathing practices (pranayama)
  • getting started with meditation

The course will build your physical endurance and help you cultivate greater clarity and calm.

You will learn to refine your body awareness and feel composure in poses by observing your breath. You will then be able to apply these techniques when faced with stressful situations, thoughts or emotions.

Dates and times

The course is every Tuesday from 2.15pm to 3.15pm starting on Tuesday 7 February 2017 and finishing on Tuesday 9 May 2017 (excluding the two weeks of the Easter vacation).
