  Contractors have been appointed for Phase 1 of the 1 West project and work is due to start on 20 August.

  • Planning applications for The Chancellors' Building, student accommodation and refectory and new Centre for the Arts have been submitted.
  • Planning permission for the 1 West expansion and refurbishment is granted.
• Sept

  Planning permission for The Chancellors' Building is granted.
• Oct

  2012
  The first phase of the 1 West enabling/demolition and asbestos removal works have now been completed and the main contractor, Cowlin Construction, is preparing to start the main extension works.
• Feb

  2013
  Planning permission for the new student accommodation building is granted.
• Mar

  2013
  Student accommodation building work started.
• June

  2013
  • Planning permission for the new Centre for the Arts is granted.
  • The main construction work for the first phase of the 1 West Building refurbishments is completed.
