Succeed in the selection process: skills development & occupational awareness

Skills workshops & occupational briefings

These sessions are designed to help you make and implement career choices. Workshops are delivered by employers and speakers from professional bodies as well as our Careers Advisers.

To find out about Development events, come in and pick up a programme or see Skills Development Diary (campus only) for listings.

All Skills Development sessions count towards the new Bath Award.

In addition, a programme of generic skills training courses for research postgraduates is offered by the University. See the PGSkills webpages.

Your CV - Get it Right!

This is a booklet written by our Careers Advisers to help you write CVs and covering letters. It has examples of different approaches to layout, as well as written information and advice.

Springboard Guide

If you are in the final year of your course, make sure you come in to collect a copy of this guide! It covers a range of topics you will need to know about, from making career choices to finding job vacancies, considering further study and going for interviews. There are separate versions for undergraduates and postgraduates.
