Equalities issues
In the Information Room there is a range of files on equalities issues relating to career management:
- age
- disabled students
- ethnic minority students
- gender, sexual orientation and sexuality.
For details of items available, as well as links to external web-based information, see Information resources on equal opportunities.
You can discuss any of these areas in depth with a careers adviser during a guidance appointment. To make an appointment, please call in or ring us on 01225 386009. Drop-in sessions, where you can speak to a careers adviser for up to 15 minutes, are also available most mornings and afternoons in term-time, please sign up for these online on the day you wish to be seen. Please bear in mind that guidance appointments provide privacy whereas drop-in advice may take place in an open-plan area.
To make sure you don't miss opportunities and events specifically relevant to your needs, you can:
- do a keyword search in MyFuture e.g. in the advanced vacancy search, disabled students can search for 'disab' - this will include job vacancies (from work experience to graduate jobs), and events.
Did you know there are Bath graduates who have volunteered to talk to you about equal opportunities issues? Come in and ask to see the Graduate Contacts file.
